A. General
- These terms of service govern access to the site. If you disagree or break these terms we are not responsible for any damages or loss of assets. We retain the right to remove you from the site at any point, without warning and without reimbursement.
- Users must be 13 years or older to play this site in compliance with COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.) The site has an average rating of Teen for fantasy violence, medium gore and language. Gore filters are available.
- All users are forbidden from posting anything illegal under United States law as well as the laws of their own country. This includes posting said content in a private setting such as personal messages.
- Public sharing of personal contact information such as phone numbers or addresses is against the rules. E-mail and other strictly online contact information is allowed.
- All concepts, artwork, coding, etc. is ©2019~ Wyndhunt. You do not have permission to reproduce, use, or resell anything on this site.
- We retain sole ownership of all concepts and content submitted to the site, such as in contests, masks, items, species suggestions, etc. This gives us the right to host it on site, profit from it where applicable (breed and item suggestions, masks, etc.) and use it on site in a manner that we see fit. How assets will be used will be clarified where necessary. If you have concerns, please contact us.
B. Communication
Communication rules apply to all public (visible) areas of the site, including but not limited to profiles, battle text, forums, news posts, names, etc.
- Nudity is not permitted. 'Removing things' doesn't make it acceptable.
- Topics about real life violence, crime, drugs, ethics, and politics are not allowed. These are a needless source of dispute and always spiral out of control. In an RP setting injury involving gore must have a mature warning in bold at the top of the post. Gore refers to anything beyond mild bleeding. Such posts are still limited to moderate gore (no bisembowling things, please.) In no setting, RP or otherwise, are topics/discussion of sex, genitals, or sexual violence permitted.
- Moderate swearing is allowed (such as damn, hell, shit.) Usage of the F word or more vulgar slurs are still strictly against the rule. Trying to censor or modify words to get around the word filters is punishable.
- Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes using slurs in roleplay.
- Please do not post spam comments (bump, just an emoticon, etc.) on site.
- Public blacklisting is not allowed. This is defined as listing a 'do not sell' list, etc. about specific users.
- Do not bring member disputes into a public space. This includes if the other person can read the post and know that it is about them. If you have a problem with another player submit a ticket or contact a staff member.
- Please use English for all public spaces. This is to ensure that all content can be properly moderated.
- Do not make threads complaining about how others play the game. This includes things like reselling, restocking, etc.
- Do not discuss any content that has not been posted in the news. This content may not yet be tested or stable, and drawing attention to it is not only dangerous but bothersome, as we may have to change it before release.
- Do not discuss banned accounts.
- Please do not make posts asking for free stuff.
- Please do not make posts talking about quitting, or guilting other players. This includes things like "Who would care if I left?" "Should I stay?" "I can't play because people won't buy my stuff." Etc.
- Please discuss other sites respectfully. If it's not your taste, that's fine, but do not make posts that are insulting to another site, its style, or its staff/community.
- Please do not post animated images, gifs, etc.
- If linking to content off site it must still be acceptable by our Terms of Service. This includes any comment sections, if applicable.
C. Accounts
- Users may only have one account, which only they can access. Sharing of accounts is strictly forbidden. This includes having someone log in to 'take care' of your creatures or daily chores, or even just sharing your password.
- Transfer of accounts is against the rules. Do not trade, give, or sell accounts to other users.
- While sharing an IP address is not strictly forbidden, we recommend players not play from locations where more than a couple others may access the site. All accounts found for multiple account abuse will be banned. Staff is also not obligated to explain why an account was flagged for multiple account abuse, as us doing so compromises the game's balance by telling people how to get away with it. If you wish to be extra careful, it is best not to transfer any assets between accounts that share the same IP. We cannot unban accounts on the merit of someone saying "my sibling/friend/etc. plays on this computer."
- Do not give out your account details under any circumstance.
D. Off Site or Additive Content
- Do not post guides, demos, etc. that link directly to site assets/directories, show all possible marking variations/etc. that have not yet been discovered, or that show unreleased content. These are a drain on site resources and compromise how the site is designed for gameplay. Stuff that has already been discovered within the site environment may be discussed in guides, etc.
- Datamining, scripting, etc. that provides you with information that you cannot access normally is forbidden.
- Creating add ons that modify how the site functions or how the game is played is forbidden.
- While you can use MINOR add ons for things like color tinting, word filtering, aesthetic changes, etc., these cannot be shared. The majority of players are not familiar with add ons, scripts, etc. They will not be able to identify if shared add ons are malicious, and we cannot help users recover any assets lost to tricks like this. To protect everyone please do not share or encourage the sharing these sorts of things. Add ons, etc. may not interfere in any way with site coding or resources.
- The use of any program, script, etc. to play the game for you is a bannable offense.
- If you are not sure if something will be allowed, please just use the "contact us" link at the bottom of every page and ask, or submit a ticket.
E. Transactions
- Do not trade, sell, or give away accounts.
- Users can trade Wyndhunt assets for other site currencies if the other site or game allows for it.
- They cannot be traded for real-life currency, gift cards, bitcoins, coke rewards, or anything else that equates to real life money or savings.
- Trading off site is at your own risk since we may not be able to prove all sides of the trade. We won't be able to reimburse these cases.
- Discuss all transaction details on site. We cannot protect you from scams if we cannot verify all sides of the transaction.
- Once something leaves your account, it is no longer yours. If you do not want someone to resell, trade, delete, etc. something that you've given them, don't give it to them in the first place. This rule holds steadfast. Do not lodge complaints against users for something that they've rightfully received.
- In most cases admins can help with lost assets due to scams, etc., but this is not a guarantee. We require a minimum 3 day wait before any transactions can be reversed, barring special circumstances. If you wish for a refund for items not received you must first contact the user asking for it.
- The purchase of Gold is final and non-refundable. Furthermore, buying from the site does not entitle you to ownership of anything on the site. If you are found to be breaking too many rules, your account will be suspended regardless of your purchase history, and anything you've purchased on site will be forfeit.
- In the event of a chargeback, dispute, etc. that forces a refund to you, your account will be banned. It may only be returned if the money is transferred back to us. In these cases users are liable to cover any and all fees that are incurred by these events. This means that if we received $30 in chargeback fees you'll be required to pay the original chargeback amount plus the fee amount to regain access to your account.
F. Art Content
- Because teens are permitted to play this game we do not allow the transfer of material assets (something required to be mailed to another user). This is to protect our younger players.
- While you retain the rights to your original artwork, Wyndhunt retains the trademark of all concepts, creatures, and characters that are built using our site assets. Do not use artwork created using these assets for mass-produced prints, items, etc.
- Artwork sales for real life currency are permitted for single, one-off pieces of art. This means an entirely unique commission. Adoptables fall under the category of mass production, so they cannot be sold for any real currencies, including gift cards, etc.
- To prevent the art boards from being inaccessible to the vast majority of users, all art that is sold for real life currency must ALSO be sold for on-site currency. This can be strictly gold, but cannot be more than 50% higher than the cash price. This does not apply to the off-site purchase or sale of artwork, but will apply to anything posted in the art boards. You cannot simply make a thread linking to an off-site cash only commission page.
- We retain full rights to use any concepts submitted to the site in the form of suggestions. If a creature is suggested and added, it becomes our intellectual property.
- Once you submit a mask to the site it becomes the property of Wyndhunt. We will not sell your unique mask to other users and you will be in complete control of if it is transferred to other users (within our transaction rules). This is merely to protect our intellectual property.
- In the case of masks, if we find that a mask is unsuitable for the site, contains inappropriate content, or infringes on a copyright of trademark we retain the right to remove it from the site, including from your inventory and the inventory of anyone it was transferred to. We will do our best to reimburse users who purchased the item. If you are unsure of if referencing is ok, submit a ticket under 'other' and ask. It is better to ask than put yourself and others at risk over copyright, trademarks, etc. For further information on rules regarding masks, please view the mask submission page.
